Jennifer Cohen

Jennifer Cohen is the founder of JLC Consulting, a public relations and marketing firm that services profit and nonprofit clients. Jennifer is also a freelance writer and photographer for many publications, including The Miami Herald. While Jennifer loves finding the hottest and newest products and styles she is also a fan of classic clothes that never go out of style. Jennifer loves to mix pricey pieces with finds from vintage stores. Her style icons include Jackie O, and of course Audrey Hepburn. Jennifer lives in South Florida with her husband Brian who is the VP Senior Account Manager of Fidelity Investments on Palm Beach Island. They are the proud parents of twin 8-year-old daughters, Sydney and Alexandria and have been married for 10 years. The South Florida couple are the founders of The Sydney & Alexandria Cohen Foundation, Inc. which was created in honor of their daughters who were born 10 weeks early. They are raising funds to buy and donate two GE state-of-the-art incubators to the Memorial Hospital West Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at memorial Hospital West so future premature babies will have a better chance of survival. The Cohen Family was selected as "Guardian Angels" by the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies of Broward County in 2010. Jennifer is the recipient of the American Committee for the Weitzmann Institute of Science's "Women of Vision" award 2010, and Jennifer and Brian were recognized as one of "South Florida's Finest Couples" by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2007. Jennifer attended University of Cambridge and graduated with a BS degree in Mass Communications from Florida International University with a minor in shopping and traveling. In her varied career, Jennifer has worked for The Sun-Sentinel, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, a variety of advertising agencies and publicity firms. When she is not running around with her girls -- (who are dancers and professional models), this busy, cruelty-free mom is always involved in a charity fundraiser (or two), helping at her daughters' school or enjoying time with her family on the weekends, traveling both locally and internationally. On that rare occasion when she does get down-time, you can find her on the beach (sitting under an umbrella, of course!), her camera over her shoulder and a notebook, with her rescued animals (two lab mixes and a parrot with one wing), with an iced, sugar-free soy vanilla latte in her always-pink manicured hand. (Essie French Affair is the summer favorite!) Favorite places to travel: East Africa, Paris, St. Lucia, Key West and London. Favorite shopping: JCrew, Banana Republic, BCBG and Ann Taylor (they carry xxs!), and Lilly Pulitzer.
